December Update

Note from Brad:

As we close out the year, I’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and offer my sincere gratitude for your support over the past several months.Ā  I am immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished in only one year in office.

On the constituent services front, it has been our honor to recover $1.11 million and return it directly to families in NC-13.Ā  My team also addressed more than 1,500 services cases which include sorting out issues with the IRS, helping veterans and seniors access benefits, streamlining passport applications, and more.Ā  I strongly encourage you to check out the services tab on my website and reach out right away if we may be of assistance to you.

In Washington, I’ve worked with my colleagues in the House and Senate as well as President Trump to tackle government waste, pass historic tax relief for you and your family, and defend our nation from heinous adversaries.

I’m proud to say I’ve passed legislation through all three committees on which I serve — including Judiciary, Transportation & Infrastructure, and Homeland Security.

The Stop Illegal Entry Act imposes stricter penalties for individuals who either illegally re-enter the United States after deportation or commit felonies while in the U.S. illegally.Ā  It’s been heralded as ā€œthe missing pieceā€ in our fight against illegal immigration and President Trump has urged the Senate to pass it quickly.

The Tren de Aragua Border Security Threat Assessment Act addresses the vicious Venezuelan gang that has terrorized communities across the United States, directing the Department of Homeland Security to conduct a study and implement a strategy to take it down.

Both bills passed the House with bipartisan support, and next up will be the Aviation Supply Chain Safety and Security Digitization Act.Ā  This bill, which I led through the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee just this month, aims to modernize record-keeping and certifications within the aviation industry to ensure our planes meet the highest safety standards while reducing bureaucratic inefficiencies and the ability for hostile actors to commit fraud.

We’re just getting started and I hope you’ll continue to engage with our office in the new year.Ā  Again, thank you for your support as we continue this important mission.Ā  God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.
