With the North Carolina Democratic primary for Governor called for Josh Stein, please see the following statement from NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.

“Democrats have chosen a career politician who has been one of the most partisan left-wing activists in North Carolina as their nominee for Governor.”

“North Carolina families want a Governor who will be on their side, not beholden to the woke liberal elite. North Carolina families want a Governor who puts their interests first, not those of radical Left special interests.”

“In Josh Stein’s North Carolina, he will continue the same misguided policies as Joe Biden and Roy Cooper. He will fight school choice, pursue disastrous green energy policies, and won’t lift a finger to help stem the tide of illegal immigration.

“He is the wrong choice for a safer and stronger North Carolina in November.”
